Cloud Engineering

AI and digital transformation don’t run on legacy infrastructure. We build cloud foundations that are documented, versioned, and reproducible, so your next initiative starts on solid ground.

The Challenge

The path to cloud is riddled with risk

For organizations early in their cloud journey, the risks compound quietly:

  • Manual resource provisioning through cloud consoles leaves no documentation behind.
  • Environments can’t be reproduced reliably; dev and production quietly diverge.
  • Knowledge concentrates in one or two team members, and leaves when they do.
  • Security and compliance gaps go undetected until an audit finds them.
  • Cost visibility is absent, so expenses spiral before anyone notices.

The numbers back it up: according to McKinsey research, migration missteps cost the average company 14% more than planned each year, and 38% of companies have seen migrations run more than a quarter behind schedule.

Our Approach

Infrastructure-as-Code from day one

Everything we build is defined in code: every resource documented, versioned, and reproducible. No click-ops, no tribal knowledge, no surprises in the next audit.

Cloud strategy and landing zones across Azure, AWS, and GCP

Migrations, including Azure Government and regulated environments

Governance and cost visibility from inception

Security and compliance embedded in the foundation, not bolted on

CI/CD pipelines ensuring dev-to-production consistency

Architectures ready for AI workloads and digital products

Proof

Azure Government Migration

We migrated a cutting-edge Defense application from Azure Commercial to Azure Government: prototype to production in one year, fully automated from bare subscription to running platform, and a 2025 DoD Maintenance Innovation Challenge finalist.

FAQ

Common questions about cloud engineering

What is a cloud landing zone, and do we need one?

A landing zone is the foundation every workload sits on: account and subscription structure, networking, identity, security policies, and cost controls. If you plan to run more than a handful of workloads in the cloud, setting it up first is far cheaper than retrofitting governance after teams have already built around its absence.

Which cloud providers does Pick 2 Solutions work with?

Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud (GCP), including Azure Government for public-sector and regulated workloads.

Why use Infrastructure as Code instead of configuring resources in the cloud console?

Infrastructure as Code makes every resource documented, versioned, and reproducible. Environments stop drifting apart, changes get peer-reviewed like any other code, knowledge lives in the repository instead of in one or two people, and audits become a matter of reading the code.

Will our team be able to run the environment after you leave?

Yes, that’s the goal. Everything we build is defined in code your team can read, review, and change, and we work alongside your engineers so they understand how and why it was built. We’re not a staffing agency: we hand back a system your people own.

If your cloud platform isn’t ready, neither is your transformation.

Let’s fix that.
