JUNIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER

Pick 2 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Platform Engineer to support our cloud strategy and infrastructure development efforts.

This role is ideal for individuals eager to grow their cloud expertise in a dynamic consulting environment to implement secure and scalable cloud solutions, working alongside senior architects at our Atlanta location.

Location: Atlanta, GA (Local candidates only or willing to relocate)
Contract Type: 1099 Contractor
Start Date: June 1, 2025
Compensation: Hourly, depending on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the design and deployment of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Support ongoing cloud migration projects and contribute to architectural documentation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business and technical requirements

  • Assist with cost optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring of cloud environments

  • Ensure compliance with security policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Foundational knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, and storage services

  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into cloud design solutions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States as a 1099 contractor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)

  • Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud architecture strategies
